I'm after a new wheelset for my commuter, nothing fancy but would prefer new so I'm not having to buy again in 6 months time.

For anyone following this thread I purchased the frame from Chris last month.
This is my first full suspension bike and have basically built it up with bits I had lying around as i'm only using it to try tire the dog out but may add to it in the future.

Morning all, I've just taken the bottom bracket out of a bike I picked up a few months back as the spindle length is too long and the (plastic) cup/lockring? has a hairline crack running perpendicular to the thread.
Is it possible to get just the replacement cups from anywhere as the BB is fine...

The good news is that the new chain has totally eradicated my problem and now fits perfectly.
The bad news is, I now have a problem with the rear derailleur catching on the chain.
It does this until about the 4th cog, the b screw is in as far in as it will go.
Any ideas?

If I was after cleaning routine advice I would have asked my girlfriend what she thought was wrong ;)
Couldn't find my spare chain so have ordered a new one and will see if that fixes it.

Thanks for the replies guys, I replaced both the cassette and the chain at the same time, it's all 8 speed stuff.
It was fine until a few weeks ago which is what made me think it was just wear and tear.
I have an 8 speed chain knocking around so will try that and see if it solves the riddle...
Couple of weeks ago my chain started slipping from a standing start. I had a feeling it could be the chainrings as they were looking a bit ropey so have just swapped them over (as you can probably tell from the shiney rings and oily bike) but you can still see air between the chain and ring...

I've got a set of shimano 600 downtime shifters (8 speed) on one of my bikes, all the gearing was fine until SWSNBN knocked the bike over and it seemed to have trouble going up on the top cog.
Just taken the cable off and the indexing in the shifters seems to have changed. Gear...
