    Measuring a Yeti frame?

(Goes out to shed with tape measure to make sure he sin't talking rubbish) Yes, Yeti weren't great at conveying that info in the catalogues were they? If you have a look at something like this, they mention the frame size, but not how they measured it. So, I have had a look at my 16" 1995...

    Which full suss for singlespeed?

Klein Mantra. Very nice ride, but watch for the steep head-angle change when dropping over sharp ledges and drop-offs.

    Screwdriver Volt/Mains Tester

What are you actually trying to achieve or measure (apologies if I missed it). The socket tester linked is probably the safest and best things to use to check sockets. If you're not confident or competent, we don't want to see you fried. What is it you're trying to do.

What's going on with this derailleur-crank combo? They interfere

Twisted and high isn't a good combo. It's difficult to subjectively evaluate, but grab the cage and give it a wiggle to see how much play there is in the pivots. F/mech shifting can be a bit of a nightmare if there is slop in the system. It will all look "ok" and not rattly when the machine is...

Kona Frame Size From Photo Help?

Wow, I didn't even know there was a Wiki! I just quickly searched "XTR", and drilled to shifters > LH, and lo and behold there is a "how to" teardown guide. Great resource!

    Karma Spiked Winter tyres!

Probably wait until the weather properly turns and pop them on eBay. I am sure they'll do very well. One crash in the ice is enough to have people googling for spikes.

New to forum, know nothing about bikes, advice on 'barn find', well back of a dusty warehouse find to be accurate. Muddyfox chromo comp courier purple

Well done for finding it. With a little love, tlc, some lube and a service, it'll make someone a nice machine. Looking at the tyres, good quality and durable road tyres, I imagine someone has been using it as a commuter. Unfortunately, it was a lower end model from probably 25-years ago. New...

How do you carry spare disk brake pads?

^^ All of the above. I don't bother. They're cheap enough to just switch out before a tour. As other have said, one brake will get you home. I've never done it, but so too will (presumably), the pad backing material straight on the rotor. Even if you trash the rotor they're only ~£15 or so.
