Be carefull with torque on used threads! Torque specifications are made for new parts. In reality older & used parts are failing torques. Means you will always overload threads.

Painting is a bad idea, that anodizing is realy cool. But sure you can, over the years I have seen both : Powder coated and black anodized.

What's the problem? Shipping costs?

Marzocchi Mark? He is a well known Marzocchi tech, living in California 5 min away from former Marzocchi Headquarter USA.

They are mud collectors and make sure the seals will fail soon. If it would by a good solution like used on moto, which means in detail it covers part of a stanchions and the top of the lowers and is sealed completly, it would be perfect. But that shock boots are bad.
