I've had a pleasant morning sticking on Gil's rather splendid transfers to my 95 C16r frame In the end I went for Orange Charcoal Grey... not exactly retro but a colour I quite like it and catches the light nicely. I wasn't sure if the silver decals would be lost but they look quite smart...

Im happy to report back but the frame has only just gone off so will be a few months before I get it back due to current times. I've gone for gloss black which was the original colour... in fact very similar to the one above! Mine isn't going to be that retro a build though as most components...

I've got a 95 c16r and bought a 29.8mm shim. I haven't yet fitted it as the frame is off for restoration but I got the info from a 97 catalogue so hopefully they didn't change much!

I'm not sure if it helps but my Prestige has a 1" ahead chris king headset fitted. I didn't fit it myself though. Cheers Will

Thanks! The headset is fine and could feel in the forks gently wiggling them with the wheel off. I'm kinda hoping that if I put it back together when some new seals arrive that all will be OK...
