Re: Very stuck campag bottom bracket
So in the end I had another go at removing it with the cyclo tool, I stood on the frame and a friend turned the breakerbar, we thought it finally let go however this was just was all the pins on the tool shearing off....
So after this I took it to Argos...
Re:
So I had another go with the new cyclo tool as recomended in this thread.
The tool is well made but of a similar alloy to the bottom bracket cups so don't use a spanner like I did or it will cut into the tool.
However it is still firmly stuck solid despite using a breaker bar and...
Re:
Thank you everyone for your suggestions.
Robin: In the 1st photo I was pulling on the tool arm which should be undo but thanks for clarifying it's easy to get muddled when the frame is upside down.
Speaking of frames, it's a Ribble in 631 and the bb cups are stamped 1.30x24 which is...
Re: Very stuck campag bottom bracket
Ah this is the non-drive side, I'm just using the drive crank to hold the tool in place. I'm certain I'm turning it in the correct direction.

The tool bent while I was stood on the frame and using an extension bar over the end of it.
Edit: See my...
Good evening,
I picked up this tatty Falcon last year and have been using it as a single speed pub bike but I'm curious about how old it is. I've searched high and low online too for a similar model but no luck yet.

Nervex Lugs
Cyclo Dropouts
I'm not even sure what colour...
Ah that's interesting, I've just checked my frame and it has campag dropouts but the derailleur has a tab that rests on the frame stop and provides another tab for the b screw.
Re: Re:
I don't have a thread gauge to measure it with but I was assuming its a fine varient of the standard M4.
What's the difference between campag and suntour compatible drop outs? I'm sure this bike had this RD from new and it shifts OK.
Related, my suntour b-screw is bent but I think it's as you say, an M4 fine thread. I've had little luck in finding a replacement so I was going to tap it to M4 coarse.
