Metallic gold Specialized Stumpjumper 1998 nitanium. Query!

Thanks a lot for the feedback & link slackboy and joepro, appreciated, yeah the seller (1st owner) told me the only change he’d made was the tyres. I asked him about the pedals, and he confirmed the bike was supplied new to him with flat VP pedals (not the Ritchey logic type). Perhaps Dales...

Metallic gold Specialized Stumpjumper 1998 nitanium. Query!

I recently acquired this steel 1998 Specialized Stumpjumper from a local seller, who’d owned it from new. He’d bought it from Dales, long-established bike retailer in Glasgow. The seller explained that these days he’s into road and trail cycling, it wasn’t being used, so it had to go! An 18”...

    Magura ~ Timeline and history...?

A really interesting thread, I’m a fan of these hydraulic rim brakes. The Magura HS33 were fitted to my Cannondale Furio, which I bought new back in 2005, as standard equipment. i’ve attached the original Magura instructions which came with the bike. Mine are the slightly later design with the...

1995 Specialized Hardrock GSX project - Complete with Photos

A really good rebuild saga, with all its attendant pics, thanks for posting all this up. And you’ve kept the original frame paintwork and patina, which was in good condition, a big plus. The highs and lows of bringing this MTB back from the brink make for an interesting read ( for me certainly! )

    Karma Karma parts

Hi there you don’t happen to have a WTB (Wilderness Trail Bike) dust cap in your box of bits? Presta valve. Thanks. See pic. I got back from a cycle in the local hills a couple of weeks ago, discovered my front one had fallen off. Bike now looks unbalanced !!

1996 StumpJumper A1 FS - New life for my old friend

Nice to see the old birthday present still in regular use today, a one-owner bike. 👍 Like yourself, my own Stumpjumper A1 FS is in regular use by myself (well maybe not up the mountains!). In fact it’s my only useable bike at the moment: the Hardrock has been lent out, and the suspension on the...

Very nice indeed. 👍 Did you have to rebuild the Rockshox Judy forks prior to fitting them? And if so, how did you get on?

Raleigh Super Lenton 1956 22" frame

Hi that’s good you can still make out the original diagonal “531” numbers on your frame. Interesting to see yours also has the steel seatpost (although not the steel drop bars). Anyway I’ve attached below a better pic of the Reynolds decal on my bike “… ..butted tubes forks and stays”. The...
