Good afternoon all, I am after any Morati ti components for MTB, like a seat post, M-bar and bar ends. I know all are very rare and hard to find now. Also some of the Morati clothing from the day (Honeywell Team would be perfect) in an XL size. Cheers Conrad
My newly purchased Sunn Pro Team Chipie frame set. Never been built into a roller, all threads are pristine perfect factory stickers etc. Only the 2nd one I have in NZ. Will probably be a wall piece and never built into a bike. The perfect match for my 2000 Exact ti- HT.
I've just scored a Team Chipie frame (NOS) that runs the same Formula rear brake can you please send me a better picture of the brake as I will need to source one or have a bracket made up so I can fit a modern brake.
Great build, I have a 2000 Sunn Exacti ti (Morati HC1.3) with Moarti ti forks/stem. Pcs on here somewhere. Would love a Morati M-bar & cranks (but at 95kg I'd snap them). Glad you found the bar ends and seat post. I have seat post but it's a road one so too short for me.
I have the same bike, built up as a Sunn Exact ti 2000 year model. Morati fork, stem, h-bar. CK hubs/HS/BB. they are a very good bike and quiet rare. As for the morati cranks i'd use them for show not for riding.
Re:
From memory the team riders had the choice of frames to ride ti or steel, each had different ride qualities and depending on the course riders could choose.
Getting hold of a team bike is very rare as the were only given to the riders and not for sale. So a rocking horse diamond there...
Re:
Great start point, I'd go for a M985 crank with a woolftooth single ring, M985 shifter (10spd) and matching rear D with a 10spd cluster with a 40T inner cog (drop the 15/17 for a 16t cog). Add V brakes of your choice and a nice hub (CK) set to match. You have the fork sorted so a CK headset...
