Shimano 200 GS on that particular bike, works perfectly!

I use Shimano RX 100 7x3 brifters from early 90s and they work well on 6 speed? You can get them cheap enough as frequently sold as not working but 9 times out of 10 they just need cleaning through with WD40 spray or similar.

Corsairs were ace, I wish I still had mine, that said it'd be too big for me now I guess!

Used that too when WD40 ran out, again no issues.

If it helps, I did the same with two sets of Shimano RX 100 /RXS 7 and 8 speed brifters about 9 months ago I bought both sets as not working . Flushing them out with WD40 repeatedly over a few days and letting them sit soon got them working, I then just glooped in a light machine oil, both sets...
