It's 501 tubing and is as the original brochure shown on this Topic: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=208899 I may get the crank and remove the inner ring as the original one appears to be as rare as hens teeth.

Thanks I'm sure it is better although it is a bit worn. I'm trying to restore the bike to be as orignal as possible which i'm sure isn't particularly good quality. I have found this on ebay and was wondering whether the inner ring could be taken off. Is that possible or a naive suggestion?
