    Re: We're a dumb lot here in the USA, couldn't figure out the metric system in the 70's, so we wen't back to what we knew ,sort of. Soda pop is still sold in 1 or 2 litre bottles but smaller sizes are still 12 or 16 ounces. Like I said were a dumb lot.

    Why is every part on every bike that I have owned over the last 40 years been measured in metric, seatpost diameter, stem length, frame size, crank length, wheel spacing 126-130,etc. but bearings are measured in inches, 1/4 inch 3/16 inch ,etc. I have Italian, Japanese, and American frames...

    Tension for installing gear cables?

    Re: I have the Dura ace 7700 9 sp dt shifters where the left side sits at about 30 degrees. I didn't think I would like it ,but once you get used to shifting both levers with your right hand you'll love it.
