I had same problem re Sorry we don't have a 1" fork thread tool anymore , so off i went to a very traditional shop and less than 5 minutes later its sorted

Looks a tad expensive to me

Must admit the early 90's machine have similar ending on the top tube but they seem to use a loose seat clamp arrangement

Early 90's . It's not the limited edition model. It's got the GT style seat cluster with fastback type stays

Anyone heard of a Marin Project X road bike made with cro-mo and from the same era of original bear valleys etc etc ? No pictures i am afraid

Thanks @Jonny69 it's fairly short and was originally someone's tt bike then it was used for a triathlon and training before being buried in a garage . Aero style levers Looking forward to doing some miles on it for sure , would just be nice to find who made the frame

Holy thread resurrection. Just picked up this Phil Sherwood road bike with a renovated 753 sticker on . Four digit frame number 5813 on bottom bracket shell and fork stearer tube. Weighs about 9.5 kg Any ideas on frame builder

That's the name i was thinking of ah ok

Pretty sure the seller is a bike charity or shop and gets some nice bikes
