New Year bump as impending house sale means space required. Plus it's sunny outside, so perfect for a bit of gravel riding (AKA 90s mtb). :)

Worth saying that it would be easy to convert back to flats if the drops are not your bag, but it is really good fun with the Redshift bars. 😁

For Sale FS: 1996 GT Bravado monster cross, with modern twist.

Hi All, Recently moved house and need to shed some bikes, as I'm short on space. Much ad I love this build, I don't ride it as much as my modern gravel bike, so this has to go. This bike gets lots of attention, so you need to be happy to stop and chat. 😂 Price drop to £600! Looking for £675...

For Sale FREE Cinelli Estrada frame. Spares or wall art

Moving house and no longer have room for this frame which I had intended to use as wall art eventually. Shame to throw it away, so offering it here before the tip. It is NOT RIDEABLE as the rear drive side stay has come unbonded. If you try to repair it and it fails, it's not my fault. 😂...

1996 GT Bravado - now with dropbar content. New pics p3

Hi - it is actually the stock seat clamp that came with the frame, so I have never measured it. The bike is in Cornwall at the moment, so I'll have a look when I'm down there at the weekend.

    1x vs 3x: The Maths

I genuinely think rear derailleurs are a doddle to set up. Even modern clutch mechs. Front we're harder because they can move up and down the seat tube, around the seat tube, have cable tension and limit screws to consider. Even when perfectly set, they still rubbed in some gears making those...

    1x vs 3x: The Maths

I too don't cheer the demise, but let's not forget that the introduction of 3x was just Shimano doing the upgrade trail in the 90s. It was all about more gears, 6, 7, 8, 9 x3 before we started heading the other way. None of asked for it, but performance did improve and has continued to do so...

    1x vs 3x: The Maths

But why would you want to buy a modern bike with a 3x set up when you have have the same functionality with 1x? You can't but CRT tvs anymore either... Someone above posted a link to the touring group set, could always "upgrade". 😉

    1x vs 3x: The Maths

Well, I guess based upon most of the above comments that I'm in the minority when I say, "I love 1X bikes!". :) I have a 2x10 SRAM setup on my 2013 Whyte 129 full suss 29er, 1x11 on my 2016 GT Grade Gravel bike (an upgrade to GRX 810 drive chain from the stock 105 double) and 1x on my 1996 GT...
