    Shimano AX questions!

Re: I'd keep the mech if originality isn't an issue. This '81-'82 Roadspeed model was sold with mostly 600 EX (Arabesque version) equipment with only the cranks and pedals 600 AX. The suntour is technically superior and doesn't look out of place. You can find the Roadspeed in this brochure...

    Shimano Dura ace stem

Re: Seems a 7200 (Dura Ace Ex) stem, that has had its anodizing removed and has been polished up at some time in its life.

Modolo Twin 777 stem, either 120-140 mm, NOS

Weird and interesting, isn't it supposed to be 'twinned' with adjustable handlebars? Does it work well with regular handlebars?

    Koga Miyata Gents Racer S

Re: Are you sure? In the old Koga brochures there don't seem to be eyelets on the GR series in the '80s: http://www.koga.com/nl/service/brochure ... (2000-1976).htm

    DuraAce 7700 Rear Mech

Re: Yes it will, 7700 is 9 speed Dura Ace, although the derailleur doesn't really care of course, it will probably run 10 speed just as well using 10 speed shifters. I think 8 speed might be a problem, since I think the derailleur pull was different in Dura Ace of the 8 speed era. Not too sure...

Brand new Nitto S65 crystal fellow seat post

Re: That's just lovely and would fit the Gazelle special that I'm building up with a nitto stem perfectly. Would you send to the Netherlands?

Re: Bought some nice Mavic crankset and mech and Chipper was great to deal with and very helpful when the local post messed delivery up.

1981 Lotus (Tsunoda) Super Pro Aero

Good luck trying to get those ADB-X bars on a DA AX stem. Anyway, I love the Dura Ace stem family (I've build up a small stash of DA EX stems and DA bars to get me through any mishaps with my pride and joy). But the crystemblue stem is another incredible looking Nitto piece of art and quite...

    Shimano AX Dura Ace Handlebars

Re: I'm always hoping some clever chap will make these bar ends up for 3d Printers. The plastic would probably be less pliant, but they should work.

    Koga miyata info pls.

No, your foot is lowered to sit at he rotational point, by having bearings right at and in the crank. The long axle where the foot sits above in a normal pedal is removed in this way. There might even be some more clearance compared to a regular pedal, because it's relatively sleek. These...

    My stable of old steel

Re: I wonder what the thinking behind the 'flipped' attachment of the rear brake was. A Batavus timetrial frame that I plan to build up over the winter seems to demand this unusual placement too. I can just about understand putting the brake behind the front fork for aero reasons, but why the...

    1985ish Gazelle Champion Mondial Cyclocross

Re: It's that time of the year again, and I wanted to mix up the Champion Mondial Cyclocross. So I decided to remove the Campagnolo NR derailleurs and crankset and install some Mavic equipment on the Gazelle. I have always loved the clean , purposeful look of the Mavic groups from the '80s...
