The few times I have looked for a wobbly bushing I put my thumb across the joint/linkage so part of your thumb is on each part (frame and linkage) if there is wobble you should be able to feel it when your wobble the bike.
This might be difficult for the shock linkage.
I have some 720mm wide rise ones on my specialised,
They seem pretty beefy, work well ect, the only problem is clamping stuff on them will need some tape or fibre grip.
And the main point would be that they are cheap and seem to work.
There once was a bike from Australia,
Who had quite a wonderful derailleur,
It went click click clunk,
then it broke with a thunk,
And left its racer a failure.
*full disclosure, I am not a poet, and firmly know it*
Nice bike, looks minty to say the least, looking forward to seeing the finished article/s
Also wonderful photos man, great to see some bikes from the lower southern hemisphere!
Re:
Adjusting rear mechs is my personal hell, or cutting a set of hydraulic hoses to length and pissing around with the olives and little nozzle bits, bugger me its a pain.
Re:
I am running some 720mm bars on my hardrock at the moment, hard enough to get through the front door at the moment, if i go any wider ill be confined to hallway runs.
