Due to an impending house move I need to find a new home for my trusty Raleigh Peak, I've had it since new and apart from a couple of problems with brazing around the rear triangle which meant a couple of warranty replacement frames it's been reliable.
It has the full original LX groupset...
That price is an eBay tactic used by sellers who have run out of stock (check the previous purchases link on the listing) and don't want to pull the advert, once they actually have batteries to sell the price will be back down to the £15 mark.
I used that technique to rescue my own system but I haven't updated the other Windows 7 machines just yet. My machine reports it is running SP1 but I'm not sure it's a complete installation.

Disks can and do fail without warning sometimes. Backup what you can and replace it, I've had two drives go at work in the last week, working one day and semi-functional at best the next. Cheap enough to replace though, for the cost it's not worth risking your data.
Wow, how wrong was I? :( Just read on the BBC site that Tepco are saying that re-criticality isn't out of the question which is disastrous if they are referring to the storage pond of reactor 4 which seems to be the case although on the plus side they are close to re-connecting to the grid which...
