    Trying to make sense of a Raleigh gents bike I picked up recently. Seems a mix of different parts or did they make a model with these brakes, shifter etc fitted? Paint job seems to be 2nd or 3rd it’s had as far as can tell so guessing stickers added afterwards. Is head badge the original one...

    I have just picked up the bike up can see pics of below. The decals would suggest it is a Rapier but with different forks? The gear shifter and forks suggest otherwise but the whole bike seems a mismatch of parts from various eras!! The serial number suggests earlier than a Rapier. Anyone help...
