    Cycling trails of Devon

Wow, there's a blast from the past. I grew up around there and that's where I got into cycling in the first place. Lustleigh Cleave has some excellent bridleways for mountain biking and there's a sneaky route you can do up over Haytor if you're feeling a bit more ambitious.

    Chris Froome: fails drug test

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2017/ ... ppens-next To get that level of salbutamol in his blood he'd have to have taken over 30 puffs on his inhaler. Sounds like bollocks to me TBH. I'm kind of at the point now of thinking they might as well give up and let them kill themselves with drugs...

    Kona Kilauea Scored

Those dropouts look like 1996 ones to me so i reckon your guess is probably correct. It's light because it uses good quality steel tubes throughout including the rear triangle. A lot of "high end" steel frames today use one or tubes of 853 so that they can put the sticker on the frame but most...

UPDATE Page 6 Next we have a 93' Manitou FS...

Re: Next in the stand we have a 93' Manitou FS... I'd be careful even with that TBH. Rumor has it they can crack if you look at them funny. Beautiful build BTW.

Pace, Hope, Kona, Thomson - breaking an Explosif!

The frame and possibly the forks are what I'm interested in. I'm happy to pay reasonable shipping costs.

    1995 Kona Kula

Very nice. Is that one of the Easton Elite ones or were they still 7005 back then?

    Santa Cruz Chameleon mark 7

Needs more purple bits. 2/10. Seriously, that's a nice bike.

    Boulder Defiant XC

Re: Boulder I saw one of these in MBUK many moons ago. It was a kind of dark blue with white stars all over it. Absolutely beautiful.

    1996 Kona Kula 17"

Specialized Ground Control FSR new build.

The other one that might work on that frame is the A2Z adapter. http://www.wiggle.com.au/a2z-universal-disc-mount/ Basically, the axle goes through the hole in the bottom and is clamped in place with the QR skewer. The little bit of silver metal at the top rests against the seat stay to stop...

Specialized Ground Control FSR new build.

Just to add, here's an expanded diagram of a Hope XC hub. The bit that is replaced is part number 4 on the diagram. When you get the adapter from Therapy it comes with a custom version of that part and the adapter sits around that. There's a pin that slides through the bottom of the adapter...

Specialized Ground Control FSR new build.

I think the issue with the one you've got is that the bit that goes onto the axle is not directly under the caliper and so is subject to a fair degree of lateral load. The Therapy one sits directly under the caliper and so is much more stable. The actual clamp bit sits on a special spacer which...
