Wanted Dawes Edge / Raw Nerve / Off Limits 531/501

I have a lovely '94 Edge XT. Frame and forks are fillet brazed 653, but possibly too small for you (15" ctr-ctr).

    Record Ace 653 with Sante

Wanted: Dawes Wildcat yellow 500/531 catalogue scan

It might have existed in '87 but I'm fairly sure the yellow Wildcat was also in '88 as I remember it being part of the lineup when I got a white Jackal and my dad got a grey Nomad. Can't find a catalogue though 😕

Wanted Tan Suede Flite or Turbo

I've been impressed with my nubuck Turbo that cost about £50 from Chain Reaction Cycles (same shop as Wiggle).

Specialized Stumpjumper Epic 1988 - the rebuild

Thanks, sorry, I hadn't realised its the carbon version. It's possible it was sold in both 88 and 89 with the same spec? Either way, it must be very rare👍

Specialized Stumpjumper Epic 1988 - the rebuild

Are you sure about the model and year? It's got a rear u-brake so it must be 1988 or maybe 87. Also, I've not come across an 'Epic' before, only Team, Comp or standard Stumpjumper.

    Help / Opinions needed

Nice gesture to your father, good on you. Are you trying to build something up for 26" wheels or are you OK with the latest sizes? I have a newish Pace 627 (27.5 wheels) in matt grey with silver Hope bits on it. I would say it's understated, but not stealth. Oh, it's incredibly good to ride...

    EARLY RIDGEBACK REFURB

Really nice. I wonder why they chose the name 'XT' as I don't think Shimano had started using it. Are you considering selling the tyres? I could put them on my Stumpy ;)

    XT M737 groupset

Re: I've got an M737 cassette, 11-28 - will post for £10 I replaced it when the chain wore out (the whole bike was new-old-stock from 1994, full XT), and as I mainly used the smaller sprockets, there is visible wear, and a new chain might jump on them if pedalled hard (usual thing).

    1990 Fisher Paragon

Nice. I remember in the late 80s a friend either had one of those or a HooKooeeKoo (or however it's spelt). I recall his was DX with True Temper tubing (with a lovely 'ring' to it). Can't quite tell from the photos, but your looks like it's a got a Prestige sticker above the BB, and XT groupset ?

Mavic Aksium Race wheels + Campagnolo Record 8spd cassette

NOW SOLD Lovely Mavic 700c wheelset, excellent condition, in the rarer silver version, with Campagnolo type freehub. With original skewers and rim tape. Little use, so only light wear to the sidewalls, straight and bearings/freehub like new. The reason I'm advertising them here is that the...

    WTD, 1" expander bung

Re: I've got a Campagnolo 1" 'star-spangled' thingie.....the type that wedges into the steerer permanently, if that's what you're after. The 'bung' type are better as they can be removed again, but just letting you know I've got the other type.
