It was another late night eBay find, popped up on a search just listed. It was a silly price, I could not believe it really, I never thought I would find one in the UK....so I bought it without hesitation. Still didn't believe it until it arrived today.Oh Man! That is absolutely Gorgeous. The Tricolor paint, the curves and it just oozes quality. Tell me more! Where from? I haven't heard of the maker

Ah one of those nervous trigger fingers late night on ebay, I must say they're always the best as the most memorable and best bargain have been acquired like this! heheIt was another late night eBay find, popped up on a search just listed. Simoncini was founded by two brothers in Castelfiorentino, which is in Tuscany, South West of Florence. Artisan builders who built their own frames and for other 'big' names over the years. They are still going, run by the grandson of the founders (Eugenio, who I think has been on here in the past) Still making amazing bikes out of exotic materials.
This one is probably a 92 or 93 as it has Dedacciai Zero Uno tubes...
I have an 83 Simoncini Super Record road bike which I just love, and have been looking for a MTB for ages as I say!
I have found the most awesome buys at 2am, (but don't tell anyone as I think I am the only person on eBay at that time!!).Ah one of those nervous trigger fingers late night on ebay, I must say they're always the best as the most memorable and best bargain have been acquired like this! hehe
I have just been reading about them and had a look at their site.
And curious to know how much ? As it looks in superb condition.
Are you going to build it up with the same components? I noticed the Shimano 600 derailleur and Ritchey components. I love the road/mtb crossover that you get on some Italian bikes, it's like the early days. Roberts used to do it too mixing Campy with Shimano.

I paid £199 for the Simoncini. Everyone has their own view on what is expensive or not, but for me, it was a bargain
Or if it was an over-polished Zaskarthat is an absolute bargain
Imagine of it had Brodie or something similarly American or Canadian written on the frame
Yes, that's the plan. I was considering whether to strike a deal for the Nitto Ritchey seatpost and levers already on it, then try and source some mint or NOS parts. Got to thank you for this, as if you hadn't pointed it out to me I'd never have known. 150 Euro is a bargainAre you going to build it up with the same components?
