Ha, I am also 5' 7" and this is a 49cm frame. So 19" in old money.. 18" is my sweet spot, but I have several 19"s which I ride just fine - sometimes with a shorter stem.

The only thing is you would probably only have a small amount of seat tube showing. So if you like smaller frames and a high seat position, it would be a little big, but defo ridable for me

I’d imagine riding this would be much like riding my racer (a Raleigh Clubman) 21'' seat tube C/T and 22.5'' top tube C/C. But with 26” wheels giving it perhaps better legroom

Fair enough, it is lovely though and would polish up very nicely!! Those stays are amazing. I've seen plenty of Alan road bikes, but don't remember seeing a MTB...

Yes - I ride 21" or 53cm road bikes, lovely Raleigh My Cyril is a 53. I got a 'proper' bike fit years ago and it came out as a 51cm - but the slacker geo on older bikes enables me to ride bigger frames
