Unknown London heritage and most probably mid 50s: 1010 dropouts, Nervex Pro, 72 degrees parallel in 531db.
Built with a lowly mix of parts bin & donated specification - running 47/21.

Just bought this British beauty
I'm off thinking it's a British Eagle touristique or similar. Rehashed rebadged Argoses are common round here, the identity of the original lost.

Listing mentions 'Roberts 531 frame'. Do they mean Reynolds or Roberts I wonder? Would have expected some panto somwhere if Roberts.

There's a few things that aren't right for a BE Tom. The cable through the top tube and the eyes on the fork blades. A nice bike.

Double eyes and in the blades too.
Campagnolo hubs with grease port, looks like stronglight bb.

I'll probably liberate the mysteriously named SR eleven pedals and curiously valuable binda straps, and the bb - ti of I'm lucky.

Most likely we'll STI it up,
as that reaches our market
and gets it out on the road,
maybe even to Rome!
