Good shout and it would!! but they are silly prices even for old battered ones!! I also haven't seen many in 26.8mm - but I'll keep an eye out.

I’ll keep an eye out too. Don’t forget you could always get a silver post and get it cerakote’d black which is super tough and thin so wouldn’t impact it fitting. It’s funny despite the huge slump in prices for bikes some things still hold their value.

That's a good shout, and I remember your post about cerakoting... I should give that a try... I've got a box of old silver posts to try it on

So these ones were still in quite good condition with just some minor nicks and scratches. Typically I touch them up with multiple layers of thinned black paint until I get a consistency and depth that matches the original finish. If you look real close, you can tell of course. Looks good enough at arms length though!
