Sounds like it's not catching the ratchet (if that makes any sense?!) I had the same issue and it's amazing what a bit of lubrication can do!They are x517’s.
It’s the shifter. Changes into the first 2 chainrings fine. Then when going to the 3rd there is no resistance.

That’s what I was thinking. I only haven’t tried to rectify it yet cuz I know if I undo something …….. stuff will fly everywhere
