bottom bracket removal tool

Retro Newbie
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I'm passionate about 90s and 80s bikes and I like to repair and adjust my bikes myself. The bottom bracket on my Otero Vereda RC has broken, and I can't find any information on the name of the tool needed to remove it. Could anyone tell me the name of that tool? Thanks in advance.

I've used locking mole grips on these before now. Since it's already trashed I wouldn't bother buying the specific tool for it.

Normally it should not be seized. Just be careful with the paint work, put some tape around the BB shell prior if necessary.

It's a derivative / copy of FAG. May be made in Slovakia.

Thanks for your quick response. It would be a good idea to use the tool you suggested, but initially my idea is to keep the plastic nuts if possible (just a whim), so I want to get the specific tool.

Your lbs ought to have the tool of you wanted to pay them a few quid to get it out.
FAG style plastic bbs were popular for a few years.
Bromptons used them.
The trouble is, the plastic sticks to the threads and weakens over time, (possibly as a result of grease used in fitting) meaning that with the correct tool, you often just twist the face off, leaving the Threaded section in the shell.
At this point, you can knock it out with a hammer, cut the remaining section with a hacksaw blade and peel it out.
But it means the bb goes in the scrap, and you'll refill one with a decent extracting system and correct lubricant.

Binned with no remorse even. Found these on plenty of retro Decathlon Rockriders. A usual case of cutting costs out of view.
