Spotted on the street

Not exactly on the street. Saw a camper from Quebec with a couple of bikes from Oryx, a somewhat obscure mid tier Canadian brand. Gemsbok full suspension, and Equipe 1000as

Originally welded by robots in Quebec, later bought up by Procycle and production moved to Asia before killing the name in 2004. History I have found is all heresay, actual information is non existent 20250807_114133~2.webp
I don't know if this is a later upgrade, but I've never seen one before

A Bob Jackson made Hetchins – not one to leave on the street for long. The owner was just going into my local Decathlon, thankfully.

The internet tells me Bob Jackson stopped making these in 1993, but the Reynolds decal is 95+, so that doesn't seem to quite add up? I doubt it's a respray. I feel the style of Bob Jackson decals clash with the ornate lugs; it would have been nice if they had designed more fitting ones for their Hetchins models. Still a lovely thing though, obviously, and clearly very well looked after.

A more substantial form of lock is needed for this bike as this in the picture is easily nick able
