Marin Indian Fire Trail 1994(?)

Picked this IFT up today from a lovely chap in Liverpool. I'm impressed after the initial inspection. It's in great condition and a testament to the previous owner who has clearly looked after it from new.

Assume it's '94. Can anyone confirm?

I have some plans to change some things. The wheels and tyres are not original but he provided the original wheels with the sale.

So tyres and seat will be changing after a big clean, polish and fettle.

Forks seem pretty good. Although I've never seen Manitous in the flesh so I don't know what they should be like. But they work, but might need a service as they just compress up when I get on and don't bounce out again.

I'm tempted to change the vbrakes to cantis. I think it looks a bit awkward currently.
Other than needing some tlc it looks lovely

Great stuff, that sounds very interesting.

You maybe already know but I think the name comes from the fire trails around the Indian Preserve in Marin County.

Someone on here can likely confirm or deny this!

No I did not know that mate might put an Indian flag instead of a USA one might be more appropriate what's up with wheels etc looks ok to me
Nice one. That would be cool.

I tried the wheels from my other Marin just to test some knobbly tyres on it. I actually think it looks great with that wider rim as well. And the rim colour matches the handlebars.
