Logos on parts

Thanks fguki that's what I meant screen printing pad printing can you explain photo etched and is it recreateable and is the etching the others mention were it's ate away with electric and salt to get effect like synchros crank cheers
 
Early high-end components where chemically etched then laser etching became the #1 go to. Typically chain rings were milled logos where structural failure was rarely an issue. Stems, bars, and seatposts NEVER (at least from companies that knew their head from their ass)!

That was simply because of the thin wall thickness of stems and seat posts. Cranks were milled, too ...pretty hard on a .9 millimeters Syncros tianium :-D
 
Cheers never knew that was the case I always thought if they were chemically etced or lasered they would not be smooth there would be an indentation that's why I thought they were printed answers the question why most people go with decals thanks for info guys
