Bank charges

When you send money abroad through PayPal they charge £2.99 now my brother just sent money and Lloyds Bank has just charged him £2.99 to do it first time they have done this so is going to be a new thing were the banks are charging as well cheeky bastards the money they make as anyone been charged or message here when you do

I have an HSBC account, well card that doesn't charge currency fees. It was a free add on to a basic account. I'm sure other banks must do the same.

Even on transfer?

Halifax clarity credit card is good for transactions whilst abroad or withdrawing money.

For any foreign currency transactions I use Wise. Far better rates than a bank.
I'd second using Wise. I've been using them for a long time for transfers, purchases from abraod and while living abroad. Nothing but good experiences both technically and with their customer service.
