Just to be clear and I didn't mention this in the initial post orginally.

I can't afford custom right now. But I would consider paying more for off the peg from a smaller builder?

Did Ted James used to be known as Super Ted? I know he was a superb mechanic if it's the same person (looks to be) and is no doubt a great mechanic.

Does he do an off the peg hardtail?

These are made in Taiwan now, no longer UK.

I want to support UK/ European builders as an economic choice. Fully aware of the huge talent of some of the smaller Taiwanese build shops. Just want to support local.

Got a lot of time for Russ and Laura, they talk a lot of sense and put their money where their mouth is.

I know they get given stuff to test and when they buy it, it would be heavily discounted. But that doesn't seem to hold them back and Russ has stated multiple times on the channel that he'll voice his actual opinions. He's also open when dealing with say Ritchey who he clearly has a friendly relationship about that, so people are aware of any preferences he may have towards them.

Seen these in person and they are fine bikes, but not really what I'm looking for.
