Beautiful old school independent bike shop haul!

Today saw me attend a shop to help remove a stuck Seatpost in a project bike I’m doing as a surprise for an old school friend. It was his mum’s, she sadly passed away with cancer, his dad asked me to do it for her granddaughter.

Of course I couldn’t resist asking if I could have a poke around and left with this lot, some I’ll keep, some I shall pass on but for now, enjoy

NOS Middleburn gold spider, anyone know what model it’ll fit?

RS1s, I think. RS2,3,4 went to four bolts to hold the spider in place before the later lockring style.

I did, no damage either other than than a bit of rash to the post which the clamp mostly covers.

I don’t have a solid bench vice so the shops did the trick after soaking in penetration fluid
