Can’t for the life of me understand thorn sizing or why it needs to be like that so save me the headache and someone else buy this!

I wondered that myself. Maybe the waybackmachine can find it, but I thought the mk4 sizing is much the same. I could be wrong

They appear to have dropped the “virtual seat tube” thing which I suspect may now just be the frame size…
Think a measured 52cm must work out to be M which I think is a bit long - their brochure did mention the intent with the audax frames was sporty, with a photo of a rider stretched out a ridiculous amount… will take that as a warning
