I randomly clicked to read through this thread and came across your diagram. Turns out I have one of those no. 36 rear hangars but incomplete so now I know what I need to get the thing working! Thank you very much that’s very useful and saves me a job of researching it

Sadly no longer made they are my favourite cantilever brakes.

I have recently come into possession of one more pair of 720s. Keep seeing that everybody loves them so I’m going to try again just on front or back and try my best to see the hype. But, if it doesn’t end up happening I’ll put your name at the top of the list they even have all the correct screws this time!
