1996 Specialized Stumpjumper FS A1

I agree it came up really well after the white spirit hit it Matti, Im hoping I can find a near enough satin black match then T-Cut them together for the worst wear bits, Im not bothered about the odd scratch they tell a story of use but cable and friction wear is not on.

I didn't touch the bike this week, although I did buy a nice set of M735 pedals from GavinD89 on here

And found a pretty decent set of Judy SL from 2000

Only downside is that I really don't like the red forks against the satin black frame so the learning curve that I desperately wanted to avoid will have to happen.
They need to be resprayed, most likely satin black to match the frame, so need to stripped and I might as well try and service them while Im that deep down the rabbit hole (when will I even learn?)
Just need to find someone who does the decals now.

I finished up this months spending spree by ordering a new aheadset and new shift and brake cables and a small tub of satin black paint from a Specialised approved dealer to deal with the worn patches.
Then I'll start looking for a set of shifters M739/40 kinda thing as those ugly gripshifts definitely are not going back on this bike.

I could live with it, would be better if the bike decals were red too like but I do know how weird you bloomin are and how much you like extra work :p

Only jesting mate as you probably know, you do what you like, permission granted :LOL:

Before I bought them I had googled a black stumpy with red forks, it looked pretty cool (although it was a gloss black stumpy) and I thought yeah that could work until I put the forks beside my own frame and they were just far too bright for the satin black and visually overwhelmed it.

Plus like you say I just love all the extra work and learning I need to do. 😂😂😂

hmmmm, I wonder if...

Rock Shock Dudys?

no, wait, better one
Jock Shox Rudys?

Funny you should say that, I saw the 2001 Judy SL and really preferred the simplicity of it.
