Anodising Mavic Rims?

Hi,

Has anyone found someone to strip and anodise formerly silver Mavic rims into the CD black (dark grey) on here? (Other than Acorn Plating as sadly Steve's not responding to email anymore). Have a few silver D521 rims I'd prefer to have re-done.

You would have to remove the eyelets prior to anodising & then install new ones after.
Not worth the bother.

That's one of the things on my mind. I might do a test run on a sacrificial rim were I to find a good anodising company.

Any anodising company will insist that they are removed.
The sulphuric acid acid will corrode the steel parts to iron oxide, which pock marks the nearby aluminium and contaminate the acid tank.
