Went for 750 + fees, so closer to £1k.

I had a low punt, but semi relieved as the amount of rust could be something more serious and the shifter mount was broken.

eBay has a nice condition one is about £3k

Yes that’s on the higher side of what I’d risk. Still a good price for someone if they’ve inspected it in person.

About 15 years ago I picked up a Moulton frame in a job lot at a police auction. I think it cost about £10 with two or three other rubbish bikes. It must have been run over by a car and there was not one straight piece of frame left on it. I put it on eBay for auction, started it at 99p and described it as above with lots of photos. I was surprised when it reach over £100
