Moots stem/ bars and post - what they worth?

Following on from my never ending Hot thread.

I’m undecided on whether to use the Moots parts.

My initial plan was to use them on my Xizang but the brushed finish clashes badly with the polished frame.

So they are currently on the Hot. Which look good , and obviously are a fantastic addition.


However … I may sell and put the cash to finishing other bikes / and adding Syncros to this one.

So … what are they worth as a package (not the saddle) ?

Stem is 1 1/8 120mm 25.4
Post is 27.2

I’ve seen similar stems at £75-ish (the more recent, 31.8mm go for more like £180), seatposts (as older clamp design) under £100 and bars I’ve less knowledge of, but may assume in that ballpark.
I’d consider the bars, pending details.

I’d say the stem would go for way more than that. I’ve seen those I-beams go for over £200 - they’re one of the finest Ti stems ever made and probably the stiffest.
The seatpost and bar should fetch a handsome price also; they’re regarded as top-tier premium items.
- saddle looks superb atop that post BTW!

It’s beautiful stuff and that’s more in line with figures that I would part with it at.

I have the same stem on my Xizang actually! The finish isn’t ideal but it matches the Ti forks which are staying put for their ride quality.
The standard of the welding is sublime - the neatest I’ve ever seen, on anything.

I’m only going on the fact that a similar stem on another forum has been hovering around that price for some time, and I’ve got 4 seatposts, a mix of old and new clamp designs, and again, what I’ve paid/traded for those.

I’d agree they are high quality items and am happy to use them on my Moots (past and present).

Yes, - to clarify, I wasn’t necessarily disagreeing with you regarding the seatpost and bar; c£100 is a pretty handsome sum (though I’d hope to get a bit more for the post)
