One photo of the BB shell would confirm that, but I kind of expect it is a very very firm NO.

Who made the Saracen Ti frames probably deserves a separate post. Most likely far east or UK homegrown via Raleigh.

Parts have arrived that were ordered and some that came via a parts bike that turned out to be a great buy! It never ceases to amaze me how a bike with a Chris king headset, Syncros crank, full XTR and a great frame and fork gets to sunny little eastbourne!

Anyway the grips from @RockiMtn (thanks Frank) arrived within 3 days from Canada which has blown my mind as I’m waiting for a seatpost from camberley and it’s been 3 weeks. ODI attack pink and green same as the Tomac bike.

Also snapped up a cheapish black Chris King headset which will result in a swap for the silver that I will sell.

Tried a XTR M952 chainset on the bike and wasn’t sure so swap the BB over to a square taper and plonked on the Syncros. More I look the more the Syncros wins! Will put a black outer ring on as Tomac had to ensure colour continuity.

Have a weeks holiday soon so will get the decals on then…though nervous about it!

Whats the frame number on this one Shepp? The early Mongoose TI I have on record was built at the same factory as the Orange Vitamin T/T2 frames.

More bits completed

Been putting off doing the decals due to the fear. Suddenly decided to get it down, so with some car paint prep spray I clean the rubes in preparation. I used a few bits of tape to make sure of the tube angle and then just went with my eye to line the decals. Came out well, though I think I need to replace the no. Drive side titanium decal as it’s slightly off the center of the tube. Need to see if it is noticeable or irritated my OCD.

Then had a delivery of a Controltech handlebar to complete the stem, seatpost and bar combo. Also have a black spire small chain ring, to replace the Shimano one I don’t like and a black outer to mimic Tomacs colouring of chainset. Lastly I found a Tioga seatpost QR as a nod to the Tioga sponsorship he had. It may be a little bulky so could change my mind.

Next is the spraying of the forks, putting on a Chris King headset and installing the grips.

Any ideas of how to do the black diagonal line on the forks? I have some strategies but open to ideas.
