Historically I would say the British veteran bike market used to be stronger, as we could buy bargains abroad.

He has a Nicholas Barra frame too! Super rare and one of the first builders to exclusively work with aluminum in the 30s. Pretty crazy collection he has there!

But 3.5k - what's the most you've bought a bike for?
I spent almost 2000 on a rideable highwheeler - but it didn't have all those accessories!
That was back in 2000, but market values are mostly little different from then

I bought a Thorn club tour with XT new in 2003, long gone. Nowhere near that amount.

I think if you go north of around 2000€ on an old bike, you're in very very exclusive territory.

We're always finding that there's a massive barrier to buyers at £1000, and rarely go over £1500.
I can't remember ever selling anything old over £2000, excluding C19th rarities and.... One of these...
