Alpinestars Cro-mega 1992 sizing

Mine below was a 20” (~52). I’m 5’11 with long legs and normally ride a 57/58 road frame.

Was it comfortable? Did you not feel stretched towards the front?
I ride a Checker Pig with 23" C-T at the moment but the top tube is somewhere around 22" if I measured correctly. On the Alpinestars, however it measures 615mm or 24" for top tube length. That seems a lot more aggressive position, but at the same time the picture you sent does not really suggests that. I am a bit over 6'1", would you say I could go for it?

Firstly, they are great frames, agile and comfy if not super light and well worth pursuing. Excellent True temper steel.

If you are a normally speccd 6’1 human, I’d guess you’d need about the same amount of seatpost as me. You can dial in how much stretch is right with stem and bars - I went for a shortish (by 1990s standards) stem and a bit of back sweep on my bars to compensate for having a short body.

Remember that they are 1 1/4 headsets and forks which makes trial and error a bit more involved. (Headsets especially are hard to come by, so a good condition one with the frame is good).

It seems pretty good on tyre clearance, would 2.4 fit?
