starting a service this week, on a rather mint, 1990 raleigh pioneer trail, in reynolds 501, all original, but was dropped down some steps, damaged the front mech trigger, made the front fork loose and a rather unusual choice of rear tyre

The Pioneer Trails are great machines, I replaced both sets of shifter/brakes as the brake levers can flex a bit, also changed the canti arms for lighter alloy ones ditto chain rings, ultimately I fitted drops and RSX 'brifters' and it's now my do it all bike... btw pretty sure you can get a 700x 45's in, I fitted Smart Sam's 700x40's and there's still room

That came later, bog standard Carltons and some Raleigh had the wrap over stays. The original Europa didn't have the crimped caps. @vcballbat

Definitely original as new condition, the second version of the Ti Team Raleigh decals with no black outline which are unobtainium and not yet being reproduced though I do have several sets of originals

Looks like the UK spec Europa frame has been used and better spec wheels, this is the 1974 catalogue going by the second version of decals
