Swap Meet May 2025

Another top swap in the books. Always a long day’s drive but always worth it. Great to see everyone.

Amazing how this has grown in twelve years from just a half dozen friends meeting behind a breakfast joint with a trunk full of junk to sell to one another.
All I heard was positive feedback and was the best swap, yet. Everyone seemed to love the new location, and we’re invited back next year. The manager said we might even get the back lot as well, suggested we bring in a food truck, and offered their PA system for playing Spotify. Next year could be an even bigger party! No more shrubs and nature pees as this year we even had a bathroom in a vintage motorcycle museum haha.

It was nice being on private property and shutting the lot down when it was full and great to just chill and relax like everyone else. The space is gorgeous with old stablished trees for shade. It is about 30% smaller for parking spots, but many people shared spots then parked elsewhere, and we were also able to use the grassy boulevard. Being condensed added to it, imo. Big thanks to Sanderson, who made Swap Meet signs and placed them on the grass. With his signs and being wide open and in plain view on a really busy road, we had many members of the public drive by, get curious, and stop in. It was packed and the five or six vendors around me said they sold more than any other year and was the best swap yet. I’m inclined to agree. Should have seen Roy all day, pacing and squirming with everyone hovering around the Toads lol...entertainment at its finest! I passed the hat around for donations to the museum, and we raised close to $300! The Museum was super happy. See you next year!
