Lots of similarities to McMahon scissors, but the positioning of the brake blocks is different..

Maybe a prototype or something? Can’t for the life of me find a scissor u brake with threaded attachments.

How is it broken?

The guy I got it from said it was broken.

I assumed he was referring to one of the upper smaller parts, but on some of the pics of McMahon scissors, that looks the same as on mine, so it might actually still be OK.

Although not all parts move as easily as they should, it seems..

I'll add a pic later, that probably speaks louder than my words

Indeed with some obvious similarities which are even more obvious as this is purple too, but some clear differences as well.

That’s not broken, that was considered a ‘quick release‘ on those brakes. Can’t for the life of me think who made it though..
