Guess the bike from the eBay photo!

In all seriousness I’m guessing it’s a slightly older frame as it doesn’t have a removable frame saver for the rear mech?

I have been looking at Fisher, A-Stars, and trying to remember who else followed the 1&1/4" trend. If you look in the archive at the 92 Alpinestars catalogue they show frame fixings very similar to those shown but cable placement is wrong, and straight forks...

Really good of you to be searching Kermit 👍
It's a narrow window of time for that size headset...you've got the initial leaders then the followers.....then abruptly it ended!
It's the way the serial number is stamped...it's very hand done yet the frame seems really competent in how it's made...it suggests something other than a bandwagon build if you know what I mean! The forks ....got to be a clue...not seen them anywhere...dropouts made like that aren't going to unique!
I can see myself giving a proper polish soon...🙄

It was the 90' catalogue not 92' (getting mixed up with Fishers). It includes pictures of the fittings and very similar ork dropouts...

Just looked at that! All the cable guides and various mounts are identical 👍 good spot sir!
Fork dropouts very different and obv not straight blades 🙄
So.....where were alpinestars made? Taiwan?
I'm wondering if I need to shift my search technique from clutching at straws to a different angle! Come at it thru the workshop backdoor 😂

Oh er missus... Yes I believe the frames were Taiwanese built.
