1998 Kona Ku - Pipmeister

keep an eye out for something that really sings

Yep, firmly in the “a build is never finished, they just evolve“ camp. Brakes dilemma is becoming clearer - which will mean a downgrade for the 853 Kili…

It’s certainly not the best finish on the black Z2, was like it when I acquired it).

Getting it re-done with yellow badging would not be out the equation. Have a ‘94 Explosif and P2s that will be getting resprayed…but not black and yellow. :)

a black version of the X-Flys would look awesome..
even awesomer would be dark blue kona and ku decals to match the fork.. (but thats not gunna happen for obv reasons!)

the real answer for me is..

If its going to be a rider*.. choose the fork that functions best for YOU (whilst still looks good..) 😁
If its going to be garage queen*.. choose the fork that looks best to YOU!

*bikes are for riding and having fun on!

Will definitely be a rider, so has to work as well as look good.

Black x-flys would be good, but will have to be patient.
Correct that it won’t be going to blue decals, aside from the obvious reasons, I’d be forever confusing it with my ‘98 Kilauea. :)

Well, first iteration now done, but I’m sure it will change in time, never quite understood a bike “being finished”.
