Just wondering how members here keep vintage chrome looking as good as possible without resorting to Brasso type products?

Normal tin foil dipped in water the rubbed on the frame help shine the chrome & preserve it as it’s a cheap effective method I find

Second the tin foil. Didn't believe it when I first heard about it but it works.

No, it doesn't. I think this is because it is softer than the chrome but harder than the rust, but I know is it works safely

I just wad up a bit into a small ball, wet it, and rub. It doesn't take much pressure, anyway, the times I've done it.
