Mid skool Bmx ideas ?

Hi everyone new here sorry it’s not old skool just a mid skool build I’ve started. I had this same frame years ago as a teenager in 2003 saw this 18 year old frame new and couldn’t resist in trying a build. Any suggestions on colours or parts ? I was thinking all black parts but I do like the old big chrome rims they used to have back then. Cheers

Yup, all black with amberwalls, remember having a yellow Mirra 540, loved it. As soon as I got it home I fitted profiles, cut the bars too short.......and took the front brake off

Haha I cut my bars down well dad did had my grips on the bend with a Dirty Harry lever , it took me a couple weeks of moaning that front brakes weren’t cool before he let me take it off. Ah The good old days!

Got some nice mankind bars to match the stem and I’m 6.2 so wanted taller bars , not necessarily period but I like them anyway. I can see this costing me a few quid ! Already thinking of building a street or flatland bmx next.

Slow and steady been busy , wheels & crank next me thinks. I was thinking of selling it once done but might be a keeper not sure yet.

Found a mint used red “Dirt Harry” lever on eBay couldn’t resist for £8 to the door ! I’d never saw an anodised red one.
