1993 Marin Team Marin 15.5”

Best described as ‘survivor condition’, with plenty of age related patina, but no structural failings. Everything works, nothing is stuck. There is a very slight ding in the top tube on the non-drive side - probably from a handle bar strike.

The bike would benefit from a new set of decals and some general tlc to remove the surface rust spots/patches, and the forks could look neater with a repaint on the non-drive side.

Bump.
Price listed is merely based on what one recently sold for on eBay (with the added benefit that I'm offering postage) - but I'm open to offers :)
Can include some semi slick tyres also.

Nice one Pete. Along with the top-end Konas of the time, this had THE SWEETEST geometry and ride of that period - and I include in that judgement a hell of a lot of esoterica from those (often wrongly) considered to be the pinnacle of performance of the time. Look at the length of that top tube. Wonderful. Hear the ‘ping’ of a finger flicked against that ultra strong and hyper light tube set. Excellent.

I distinctly remember a specific ride when I had just built one of these with Manitou 1s and threw it down a long, fast and flint-strewn downhill toward Lewes. I had a grin ALL the way. It’s the predecessor of today’s ‘long low and slack’.

The surface corrosion will be easily removed with Spontex and GT85 and ‘it will polish up lovely’. I’ve got more steel things in the stable than I can justify or I’d be sorely tempted. It’s a great bike at a great price.

Thought you'd like it!
I just don't have the time to do the rust treatment, so I apologetically offer it up in it's current state safe in the knowledge it's a good solid frame beneath the blemishes.

Anyone worrying about the surface corrosion just shouldn't worry - see

and ishaw's restoration of a P7 last year.

Simply cosmetic and easily remedied. These nickel frames look gorgeous after a small bit of elbow grease and care....

Great info 2many!

I'll be needing that for an incoming 92 Team...

If this was a little larger I would have been tempted!

Lovely bike.

Someone step up!
