7-speed rapidfire shifter

My daughter's just got her first bike with gears (Islabike Benin) and is stuggling with the force required to move the gripshift to shift up the cassette. I'd like to see if rapidfire style will be any easier... Not many modern 7-speed options around so maybe an old STX rapidfire unit? Actually a SRAM 1:1 type trigger shifter would do too since I have a rear mech to use with it.

It looks lovely but I think she's going to need the numbers/indicator so she can tell what gear she's supposed to be in, unfortunately!
