Alpinestars cro mega DX 1992 seatpost size?????

Can anyone confirm the seatpost size on my 1992
Alpinestars cro mega DX? It's currently fitted with
a 29.4 but seems a little loose in the frame!!

my 1991 cromega dx has 29.4 that fits great the book size says 29.4 but mark sinnett had a 1992 cromega with 30mm seat tube,

might be work getting a narrow post and using a shim as it will be easier and cost less to get the desired fit.

mine are both 29.4

check your frames not cracked at the slot in the post ,they can be slack
if its cracked

Thanks guys I'm going to try and source a 29.8 to try as
I'm not happy with the 29.4, the frames definitely not
cracked and I don't remember my original 1992 alpinestars
BITD having a loose fitting post!!!! Seen some modern orange
P7 posts on the Internet in 29.8 for £8.99 might give one
a go!!!!
