anyone know what reynolds k2 is
4130 ? 501 531 ?

as used to build mid range ralieghs in the early 90's

It's a cr-mo steel like Reynolds 500, but it has a special octagonal profile internally. Not special, but OK.

a summit
only bought it for the forks
but the groupset, lx is near mint (well in my terms)
storage marks on it but not much running wear
weights a ton tho ,a good couple of pounds heavier than the yukon
i've got ,suppose thats the forks tho

so i think i'll split it, ride the wave or Raleigh love that seems to be
prevailant on here at the moment

Good question.

I've been surprised by my Apex since the very day I rescued it, expected it to be rubbish but its pretty good, will rebuild it soon now I've tried a couple other retros...

Weight isn't a big issue average for period and price and should be tough ish i'd expect....

Hi reanimation

Have you got any pics of your Apex?

I bought what I thought was a Peak but looking through a "92 MBUK the Apex came as standard with a Girvin flex stem which mine has. So think now it might be an Apex.

:( Thought so. Still it's the same frame as the Peak.

It came with exage crank, shifters/brakes. The rear and front mech were replaced with what I can only say was crap.

I have stripped it for cleaning and will be putting on some LX stuff which I have.

Anyone got pics of the Raleigh Summit, Peak, Apex, Ravine as would be nice to see other rides for ideas. :D
